Michigan Retailers Association’s partnership with MLive.com has resulted in fun videos about the value of local retailers.
MLive’s Nick Behling visits retailers, who share their knowledge with him about products and local experiences. They point him in directions where he would have never explored, otherwise.
The first video featured MRA member Karen Chapel, owner of Lakeshore Kayak Rentals, who gives great tips on what a new kayaker needs to think about. We watch as Nick tries out a kayak, hits Magnum Coffee Roasters for a caffeine hit, eats at Righteous Cuisine in Grand Haven and then proceeds …. to a dog park! (It’s pretty fun footage – you can see it below).
The second video debuted today on MLive’s Michigan’s Best Facebook page (facebook.com/MLiveMiBest). It shows Nick talking to Michael, a sales associate at BackCountry North in Traverse City’s downtown. Michael talks about the staff’s expertise in adventure hiking, kayaking and more. He points Nick to a trail at The Commons – which Nick hikes in the rain. He also recommends Spanglish, which has great tamales and tacos.
The videos are all about showing that local retailers and their knowledge is invaluable to the customer experience.
Check out the video – and wait for the “buy nearby” push at the end!
