Kurt M. Dettmer, senior vice president insurance sales and business development, is also responsible for building, strengthening and serving the needs of the insurer’s network of Independent Agents. He joined Retailers Insurance in November 2013 after serving as vice president and chief marketing officer for Fremont Insurance Company in Fremont. During his 10-year tenure at Fremont, the company more than quadrupled direct written premium. He also previously worked for The ASU Group in Okemos as a TPA and multi-lines claims adjuster. A Ferris State University graduate, he is a licensed Agent in Property & Casualty.
