New insurance discounts
on business, home, auto

Members of MRA and their employees are now eligible to receive a group discount of 5 to 10 percent on business liability, home and automobile insurance from Fremont Insurance Company.

The discounts—available after January 1—are a result of the Association’s endorsement of Fremont as its preferred property and casualty insurer for home, auto and general liability policies. Retailers Mutual Insurance Company will continue as MRA’s exclusive provider of workers’ compensation insurance.

“We are delighted to enter into this alliance with Fremont Insurance,” said MRA President and CEO James P. Hallan. “Our experience with workers’ compensation insurance, through Retailers Mutual, gives us an understanding of what goes into a solid, dependable insurance company. We are confident our members will be well served by using Fremont for their property and casualty insurance needs and Retailers Mutual for their workers’ compensation insurance.”

Fremont is represented by more than 180 agencies, operating from approximately 250 locations around Michigan.

To receive the MRA group discount, members or their employees should contact an agent who is licensed to sell Fremont Insurance and ask for the MRA group discount.
