Open Enrollment underway…
Open enrollment, the one time all year when MRA health insurance participants can make changes in subscriber coverage by adding employees and dependents, is underway until the end of June. Changes made during this period will become effective on July 1.
The May-June period is also open enrollment for MRA’s dental and vision insurance programs, administered by Delta Dental Plan of Michigan and Delta Vision. A second open enrollment period is held in November-December for dental and vision.
Participants are encouraged to consider possible changes to their health, dental or vision insurance plans, and all members can take this opportunity to review MRA’s insurance programs.

Delta Dental adjusts rates…
Participants in MRA’s MEWA Dental Plan through Delta Dental will see adjustments to their current rates effective July 1, 2008.
The rates for Plan A (the most popular plan) will go down slightly for most participants (on average by 1-2 percent). Rates for Plan B will go up. As a result, members who currently use Plan B may wish to reconsider their options and may want to switch to Plan A, which is comparatively a better value after these rate changes.
In addition, some members will notice a slight rate change due to a switch to a single rate for the whole state, which was formerly broken down into five regions with slightly different rates. Rates for Plan A will be lower in four out of the five former regions.
